Hillary Clinton has shown her love for pantsuits and Oscar de la Renta many times before, most recently at this year’s CFDA awards. But last night, she went even deeper at a party for an entire fashion exhibit dedicated to de la Renta’s work, held in Little Rock at her husband’s official “Presidential Center” in town. Hillary, joined by Chelsea, Bill, and Anna Wintour, honored her “dear friend,” who has unofficially become the designer for the FLOTUSes. On view at Oscar de la Renta: American Icon is Laura Bush’s red cashmere ensemble and a classic beige dress and coat combo Nancy Regan wore in 1988. Nearby: An iconic teal pantsuit worn by the former Secretary of State, with a sign that said, “Pantsuits designed by Oscar de la Renta are perhaps Hillary Clinton’s most famous sartorial statement.”

Later on that night, Wintour shared a few words herself: “[Hilary] always looked entirely appropriate wherever she was and nearly always in Oscar,”she said of the self-professed “pantsuit aficionado,” before she went on to show her support for Hillary 2016. “I can only hope that all of you here in Little Rock will be celebrating her come November 2016.” Well, as long as she continues to wear de la Renta on the campaign trail.
