Anna Wintour has made her first appearance on Vogue’s Instagram account. She was snapped in her trademark glasses, peering from behind the September issue. Surprisingly, you can see her eyes — which marks the only moment most of us will ever make eye contact with her.
Naturally, the woman who has Mario Testino take her passport photo isn’t about to let just anyone snap a casual instaphoto; she employed former Vogue.com photographer Taylor Jewell to take her portrait for the #voguestagram. If anything, it is exciting that the CN creative director, who posted her first tweet this June, is taking a somewhat active role in bringing Condé Nast into the millennial age. Perhaps she’ll take some lessons from social-media wizard Eva Chen, Lucky’s EIC.
