SVU’s Mariska Hargitay Makes Rape-Kit Documentary

In June, SVU star and No. 1 imaginary best friend Mariska Hargitay wrote a piece for the Huffington Post about the problem of unprocessed rape kits. Now, according to the Post, she’s working on a documentary film about the issue, and is currently searching for a director. An excerpt from her column:

… When you don’t test a rape kit, it sends the message that’s it’s not a serious crime, and I’m beyond outraged.

Detective Benson couldn’t have put it better herself. Now we’ll get to find out if she wears those pretty little gold necklaces in real life, too.
