Ciara performed at Prabal Gurung’s “intimate” after-party last night, held at the Meatpacking District’s Bar Nana, which was packed to maximum capacity. As the Jonas brothers and Natalia Kills looked on, the singer opened with “I’m Out,” Nicki Minaj’s pre-recorded verses still blaring (Minaj couldn’t be there in the flesh, as she was preparing for her own appearance at Alexander Wang’s after-party later that evening). So are Ciara and Minaj “real” friends, or just collaborating acquaintances? “She’s one of my homegirls,” Ciara told us after her set, adding that they got lots of bonding time rehearsing their dance moves for the “I’m Out” music video. But please don’t mention twerking, a word Ciara doesn’t like. “People are acting like it’s a trend. I’m from Atlanta, where we’ve been popping booty off for years, so it’s nothing new to me.”
