It was only a matter of time before Hedi Slimane tried his hand at video for Saint Laurent. The designer, who has photographed all of the house’s campaigns since he took the reins last year, created a short film starring one of his favorite models, Gracie Van Gastel, to introduce the label’s classic “Ballerina” shoes. Titled “Dance,” the video features a soundtrack by teenage musician Clementine Creevy of Cherry Glazerr, of Rookie fame (as always, Slimane is a big proponent of edgy L.A. kids). In other news, Gracie’s hula-hoop skills are nothing to sniff at.
