Singer, sometimes model, and Hedi Slimane muse Sky Ferreira was arrested in the Hudson Valley early Saturday morning on misdemeanor charges of criminal possession of ecstasy and resisting arrest, according to a local newspaper. She was with boyfriend and DIIV frontman Zachary Cole Smith, who was arrested on two counts of criminal possession of a controlled substance, “42 decks” of heroin, among other charges. Smith was reportedly driving an unregistered Ford pickup truck with stolen plates without insurance or a license, while wanted on an outstanding vehicle and traffic warrant. Smith reminded Twitter followers that this information comes from a local police blotter, “not the outcome of a court case.” “These cops wanted to fuck us, and they did,” he wrote on Twitter today. “Sky did nothing wrong.” The couple covered Cat Power’s “Nude as the News” at Basilica Soundscape the next night.
