Here at the Cut we are pretty much always looking for the perfect leather moto jacket, but the big-ticket ones we love by fancy fashion brands like Balenciaga tend to cost thousands of dollars, which somehow we never seem to have on hand. Of course I know I should save, and wait to buy the Saint Laurent beauty (and have it forever, blah blah blah), but when I spotted this soft, luscious jacket on the back of a very stylish and more budget-conscious friend the other night, I knew I’d struck black-gold.
I love how the inconspicuous black hardware tones down the rocker vibe, while the relaxed fit feels casual but still manages to be flattering. My friend had paired it with Nikes and jeans, but it would look just a good with a T-shirt and men’s trousers or this Phillip Lim 3.1 dress. It may not be the last moto I fall for, but it’s the one I’ll be settling down with this season.
