Jailed Pussy Riot member Nadezhda Tolokonnikova has ended the nine-day hunger strike that landed her in the hospital two days ago, according to the Guardian. She reportedly received a promise that she would be moved out of Mordovia’s Penal Colony No 14. Members of the Russian Presidential Human Rights Council published a report confirming several of Tolokonnikova’s claims about the slavelike working conditions at the colony, but did not recommend a criminal investigation. Tolokonnikova’s husband has said she will resume the strike if she’s not transferred away. She and bandmate Maria Alyokhina aren’t due out until March.
