While doing his job of acting, Jake Gyllenhaal punched a mirror. He was acting so much, he forgot that even though the situation is imaginary, the physical objects on the set remained breakable and potentially sharp.
The actor was sent to the emergency room and given some stitches. A source with knowledge of the acting-so-hard incident told People:
The scene was emotionally charged and his character was talking into a mirror and he got so into it, he banged his hands against the mirror and it broke and cut him. It was all the scene and not because he was mad about anything else.
Well, I bet he’s mad that the mirror was not as professional as he was.
