Kelly Clarkson, a singer and Jane Austen enthusiast, is having a baby. Even with Adele’s warnings about babyland, Clarkson’s super happy about it. It’s a very joyful time. Because Clarkson announced this baby on Tuesday of this week, and now it’s Thursday, she’s already answering questions about everyone’s favorite baby topic: baby weight. No, not the future weight of the baby, no one cares. These queries are about the future weight of the baby-bearing mama.
Clarkson, in her appealing and candid way, said whatever:
Everybody calls me fat all the time, so I can’t wait to have a reason, instead of everybody just being a jerk!
I’ve never been Gisele Bündchen so ain’t nobody expectin’ that! I like to set a [low] standard so people don’t expect a lot.
She also said Bridget Jones-level stuff about being bummed out and single at Christmas and something about her husband taking her out on a lake in a rowboat to exchange their vows. Real sweet. Love rowboats.
