On Friday, a documentary about the life and influences of fifties pin-up icon Bettie Page hits theaters. Entitled Bettie Page Reveals All, the documentary features interviews that filmmaker Mark Mori taped with Page a decade before her death. In the film, the woman who would become immortalized as a cult sex symbol talks about her youth (which included graduating high school as salutatorian), love affairs, and the height of her modeling career. In the clip below, Page talks about how she got her start modeling for “camera clubs,” which were generally made up of young male photographers who were primarily interested in photographing nude or scantily clad women in provocative poses. While the documentary was being filmed, a wealth of previously unpublished nude photographs of Page were uncovered.
