Believe it or not, Brad Pitt, the man of almost everyone’s dreams, turns 50 today. Brad isn’t perfect — as anyone on Team Aniston will be quick to remind you — but he comes pretty close. Whether you fell in love with him in Thelma & Louise or were knocked to the floor by his abs in Fight Club, he’s earned his place as one of the universal go-to hunks of the last few decades. There are many reasons to adore the actor, father, and dedicated husband, but in honor of his 50th birthday, we’ve rounded up 50 of them. From his yeti beard to his dance moves, join us as we wax poetic about Brad Pitt and stare at his perfectly chiseled jaw and even more perfectly perfect abs.

HE WORE GLASSES. Swoooooooooooon. Photo: Getty Images
Because he had the same bowl cut as the boy you liked in middle school. Plus: This picture exists. Photo: Coleman-Rayner
His trademark “strong jawline and bold blue eyes.” According to IMDB. Photo: Getty Images
He supports his wife. Pitt said he was proud of Angelina for deciding to write an op-ed about her double mastectomy. Photo: Getty Images
He's bros with Robert Redford. And George Clooney. And bears. Photo: Corbis
He was the original hot vampire. Sorry, R.Patz, but Interview With the Vampire's Louis was our first blood-sucking crush. Photo: Corbis
He once wanted to start a charity called "Save the Tails." “Cutting a dog’s tail off for the way it looks. In fact, I’m going to start ... He once wanted to start a charity called "Save the Tails." “Cutting a dog’s tail off for the way it looks. In fact, I’m going to start a cause, Save the Tails. All us young actors, we have causes, that’s going to be my cause. Save the Tails.” Photo: Getty Images
He sometimes looks like a yeti. But that ain't no thang to Brad Pitt. Photo: Getty Images
He's gone blond. Haven't we all made an impulsive hair choice and regretted it? Photo: Getty Images
He's gone blond twice. Okay, sometimes we don't learn our lesson the first time, either. Photo: Getty Images
His butt in A River Runs Through It. Go back and watch it. Seriously. Photo: Getty Images
Because we loved him and Gwyenth Paltrow together. They were just so pretty. Photo: Getty Images
He's had his heart broken. He once referred to Gwyneth Paltrow in a post-breakup interview as "Paltrow." Cold. Photo: Getty Images
He could be the next J.Lo. "I'm gonna record an album like Jennifer Lopez. It'll be an acoustic version of KC & The Sunshine Band. Then ... He could be the next J.Lo. "I'm gonna record an album like Jennifer Lopez. It'll be an acoustic version of KC & The Sunshine Band. Then maybe I'll design a line of clothes like [Sean Combs] but all in synthetic fur.” Photo: Getty Images
He had a whole "bad boy" phase. Or at least the look. Photo: Getty Images
He looks great in boxers. Like, real great. Photo: Everett Collection
Because this exists. So much yes. Photo: Getty Images
He isn't afraid to make fun of himself. And after that Chanel ad, says we can, too. Photo: Getty Images
His epic dance moves. Proof here. Photo: Everett Collection
He dated Juliette Lewis. And wasn't opposed to the prom pose. Photo: Getty Images
... Or cornrows. Got to love a man who supports his girl friend's questionable style choices. Photo: Getty Images
He has unsual taste in sunglasses. His closet must be like a Sunglass Hut retrospective. Photo: Getty Images
He reportedly took Greek lessons to surprise Jennifer Aniston's family. Oh, romance. Photo: Getty Images
He started out as a model. And even has a Levi's gig under his belt. Photo: Getty Images
He looks good in a skirt. Hello, QUADS. Photo: Corbis
He isn't afraid to show his emotions. Who doesn't love a little love? Photo: Getty Images
He loves a good couples' haircut.  Photo: Getty Images
And matching outfits. Not to mention the cool matching sunglasses. Photo: Getty Images
He makes a soul patch and goatee combo look good. The only time it's ever happened ever. Photo: Getty Images
He's always eating. In literally every scene from the Ocean's movies. Photo: Corbis
And apparently is always eating in real life, too. We love that. Photo: Getty Images
He has a strong sense of style. Though we prefer him in a suit. Photo: Getty Images
He guest-starred on Friends. In a Thankgsiving episode, at that. Photo: Getty Images
He's a trendsetter. He totally aligned himself with the Nets before Jay Z decided they were cool. Photo: Corbis
He studied journalism at the University of Missouri at Columbia. Mmm, those writer types. Photo: Getty Images
He hates golf. And that's definitely a turn on. Photo: Getty Images
This hairdo. In Johnny Suede. Photo: Getty Images
He has six children. SIX. Photo: Getty Images
He enjoys a good bun.  Photo: Getty Images
He always looks good, even as a wax figure. Creepy or hot? Photo: Getty Images
ABS. On Vanity Fair.
ABS. In Kalifornia. Photo: Everett Collection
ABS. In Thelma & Louise. Photo: Getty Images
ABS. In Troy. Photo: Everett Collection
ABS. In Dark Side of the Sun.
ABS. In The Favor. Photo: Everett Collection

He's 50 years old. And still super, super hot. Photo: Getty Images
