Owing to some difficulty with pronunciation of the word sexting (and a strong distaste for crass American terms), members of the French langauge preservation society L’Académie Française have put their heads together to come up with a suitably Franco term for sexting: textpornographie! Voilà! The powers that be creatively combined text and porn into the portmanteau textporn, which expresses how much more artistic and sophisticated it is than good ol’ Amurican sexting. Comment est-ce que vous dites “dick pic” en français?
