Lady Gaga’s ex-boyfriend Lüc Carl sent legal letters to publisher HarperCollins and Gaga’s friend Brendan Jay Sullivan, over the villainous depiction of him in Sullivan’s biography of the singer, Rivington Was Ours. The book describes Carl, who split with Gaga in 2008 after three years, as inattentive, possessive, controlling, distracted, and discouraging, according to “Page Six.” Praising current boyfriend, Chicago Fire star Taylor Kinney, Gaga has said, “Men weren’t always happy for me. It was very challenging to watch a woman be so successful.” For example, Carl once said to Gaga, “I hope you fail,” according to Sullivan, giving her “the fire she needed at the time to fight for her dreams.” Not that Carl needs to be cripplingly envious anymore. An accomplished drummer, runner, and Sirius radio personality, Carl has published own memoir, The Drunk Diet. There appears to be enough book deals to go around for everyone in Gaga’s extended network.
