Ingrid Lederhaas-Okun, the former Tiffany’s executive who pleaded guilty to stealing and reselling over $2 million worth of jewelry from the company, has been sentenced to a year and a day in prison. She has also been ordered to forfeit $2.1 million — and pay an additional $2.2 million in restitution. After she serves the year, she will have another year of “supervised release,” which will probably mean someone keeping a close eye on her Darien, Connecticut, home. Lederhaas-Okun confessed in July to stealing over 165 items — including diamond bracelets, earrings, and rings — between November 2012 and last February. At the time, she claimed she was holding the items for use in a special PowerPoint presentation which, unsurprisingly, never turned up.
