Polar vortex aside, there’s something romantic about the sight of snow: Its bright, light-reflecting nature makes all of this cold uplifting, almost. So take it as inspiration to tap into a winter white mood, and an opportunity to dress up in the cold. While it may feel counterintuitive to the no-white-after-Labor-Day rule (which we don’t believe in, anyway), there’s something fresh about wearing ivories and off-whites in the dead of winter. Start small with a soft white beanie and long cashmere gloves — or go big in a head-to-toe après-ski look, with some great basics like Current/Elliott’s stiletto jean and J.Crew’s cable-knit turtleneck.
