See: Peter Pilotto’s Bold, Graphic Collection for Target
When the Cut first heard the news that Peter Pilotto would be Target’s next high-fashion collaborator, we knew that meant the brand’s signature electric, kaleidoscopic prints would soon be available to us for $1,000 on eBay (after Target sells out in a matter of hours).
The collection launches at Target stores and on Target.com on February 9 (just in time for street-style lurkers to wear six of the prints at once during Fashion Week) and features 70 items, ranging from $14.99 to $79.99. Judging from the lookbook, which was released today, it’s going to be a good one: The collection is heavy on digitized florals, explosive mixed prints, and bell-shaped silhouettes that design duo Peter Pilotto and Christopher de Vos have become known for. We’re especially excited about the accessories and swimwear departments, where they’ve got graphic bustier-bikinis, statement totes perfect for jazzing up an otherwise basic wardrobe, and best of all, black-and-white-printed Vans-like slip-ons. And Target’s also partnering with Net-a-Porter.com to feature a “curated assortment” of the collection, which will means a collab will finally be accessible to international shoppers. Click through our slideshow to see a sample of the collection, and plot what you’re going to grab when the doors open on February 9.
