27 Marvelous Hats From the 2014 NYFW Runways
Perhaps it was the wind chill whipping through Lincoln Center outside of the shows that had us paying extra attention to the many hats that walked the runway. Whether tall wool cloches, wide-brimmed fedoras, or even smaller fascinators, hats seemed to add a little bit of joie de vivre to the fall looks. Standouts appeared in classic black, winter white, and every jewel-tone color in between. Although each hat differs drastically from one another, they all have one thing in common: Each headpiece seems to complete each outfit.
Ralph Lauren kept his white beret simple and chic, channeling Faye Dunaway, while Rodarte heavily embellished their berets with sequins. Meanwhile, Tia Cibani, Carolina Herrera, Creatures of Comfort, and Ruffian went for cylindrical shapes. Click on to see the many hats of New York Fashion Week.
