Cam’Ron, the melodic genius behind “Hey Ma,” has teamed up with designer Mark McNairy on a collection of what promises to be hip-hop’s next must-have outerwear: capes. Today the rapper closed out McNairy’s FW presentation wearing one such custom cape, a tweed-and-fur number that both the Town & Country and Complex sets could get behind.
Somewhere, André Leon Talley and Kanye are super-mad that they didn’t come up with this collaboration. And for anyone who might doubt the viability of a cape as the next “It” accessory, Cam’Ron has a message for you: “Hate Now, Cape Later.” (Please let that also be his next hit.)
