Fashion days tend to run looooooong, and, in February, involve girding up against the brutal cold, blinding snow, and sweltering crowds inside shows. Show-going requires stamina — there’s a lot of running around from uptown to downtown, and even back to Brooklyn (but nowhere near where I live) — and, of course, supplies.

So when packing my bag each morning, I tend to eschew organized, dainty clutches, and go for large totes and bucket bags full of useful objects like umbrellas, complexion-brightening lipsticks, and vitamins. Click through the slideshow ahead for my picks for packing a bag during one of the busiest weeks of the year.

French Remedies The combo of loud parties and cold air means sore throats. French people I know swear by this homeopathic treatment for warding off colds and flus. And I trust French people for some reason.
Note-Taking Tool Pencils are still the most efficient way to get a thought out quickly.
Pain Relief Fashion hurts, if you're doing it right.

Bonus: My phone battery lasts longer, and when I get to a WiFi area I can upload all my photos to the 10,000 social-media channels I am now a slave to.
Health Booster I have no idea if these actually help, but they definitely make me feel healthy.
Vitamin C All Day Duh.

No Bulky Wallet A slim card case is so easy to find and forces you to take just the few things you need: credit cards and business cards.
Extra Battery Life Good for phones and cameras that see too much use.
Perfect Brows to Go Touch-ups are mandatory after six hours.
Practical Concession to the Elements But still compact enough to not be a drag to lug around if it never actually rains.
Multipurpose Hydration This pretty oil is for nails and hands, but you can also use it to tame stray flyaways.
Tiny But Magical Mascara Technically, this is for lower lashes, but I like to throw it in my purse for when I just need more.
Luxe Powder Brush Find any excuse to run to a bathroom and use this.
Foot Relief Cliché, but necessary.
Shine Prevention Hot, cold, hot, cold. The constant temperature changes at Fashion Week make you simultaneously sweaty and dry. Fear not, if you ... Shine Prevention Hot, cold, hot, cold.
