Lawsuit Reveals World’s Worst Wedding Video

Brooklyn newlyweds are embroiled in a lawsuit over what sounds like the worst wedding video in the history of recorded weddings. Monica Nickchemny, 26, and Felix Komrash, 33, hired a company called Visualez to produce a video of their August 2011 wedding as well as a “love story” skit to be played during the wedding. Now the couple is suing the filmmakers for trying to get the groom to cross-dress in the pre-wedding video and reneging on their duties once creative differences arose, according to the New York Post. “They wanted him to wear women’s clothes, he would look like a woman, I would have to put him in a dress and he would fall in love with me,” said Nickchemny, who also owns a bridal shop. “It was a very stupid story.” But it’s only marginally worse than what Nickchemny originally wanted: a “’Coming to America’-style film” with the groom playing the Eddie Murphy part. The company and the bride bickered over artistic direction up to the wedding day, leaving the couple with an incomplete video of the ceremony marred by breaking-glass sound effects and a laugh track. “It sounded like I was watching an episode of ‘Seinfeld,’” Nickchemny told the Post. “I was hysterical. I almost had a nervous breakdown.” She is seeking $60,000 in punitive damages.
