NYFW Street Style, Day 8: White Coats and Monster Furs to Survive the Snow
New York turned into a demonic, slushy snow globe on the last day of Fashion Week — but neither snow nor rain nor dark of night would keep anyone from making it to Marc Jacobs. Stealing inspiration from Yetis, Chewbacca, and the Abominable Snowman, street-stylers like Natalie Joos, Susie Bubble, and Lisa Marie Fernandez bundled up in enormous furs to brave the temporary tundra. Eva Chen borrowed from a different creature, sporting a sleek, blue python coat — perhaps hoping to develop winter-resistant reptilian skin herself. One trend that was mercifully defeated by the inclement weather was inappropriate footwear: no more bare ankles! But, of course, there was some white-on-white winterwear — causing a few people to get lost in the storm.
