Street Style: The Many Bright Furs of Fashion Week
This Fashion Week, when we weren’t busy gawking at the incredible array of less-than-sensible footwear on the slushy streets, we were eyeing the lavish furs that adorned the more weather-conscious of the fashion set. This season, senior editors and street-stylers alike embraced oversize furs of varying lengths and textures in playful, vibrant hues — a trend that had them looking like warm, cuddly monsters, or, in some cases, Sesame Street characters.
Never one to shy away from color, Susie Lau hit the streets in a bright-orange Shrimps fur paired with a white turtleneck, while Bryanboy complemented his otherwise un-noteworthy suit with a bright-yellow fur scarf. Anna Dello Russo made the rounds in a blue, gray, and white camo-print Michael Kors coat, which she apparently owns in multiple colors. Even Anna Wintour was in on the trend, opting for a luscious emerald-green fur coat to accent her peach-and-green checked blazer.
