The Duke porn star has revealed her stage name, Belle Knox, in xoJane and Playboy. She told Playboy that since her name is already out there, she “might as well capitalize on that fact.” Remember, Knox is not just in it to illuminate the sexist double standard of slut-shaming — she’s also here to get paid. “If Duke had given me the proper financial resources, I wouldn’t have done porn,” she said. “My story is a testament to how fucking expensive school is.” If you can watch Knox’s work and respect her at the same time (a challenge for some of her online critics) consider it a sex-positive libertarian feminist scholarship fund.
