What was Theo James doing before he was dying after having sex on Downtown Abbey? He was the lead singer and guitarist of the London-based band ShereKhan — named, presumably, after the tiger and childhood menace in Rudyard Kipling’s The Jungle Book. Apparently, the Divergent star is quite musical. He told Marie Claire that he can play “Do You Know the Way to San Jose” on the harmonica, and this is a video of him playing the piano for a mesmerized group of middle-aged women in Case Sensitive — a skill he claims to have in real life, as well. You don’t have to take our word for it: Here is a video of him very animatedly singing the original track “Skin” with a bandmate. Theo hums, harmonizes, and dances a fair bit. Though ShereKhan disbanded in 2012, it turns out they still have a pretty substantial internet presence.
