Believing in pore minimizers is like believing that each Nicolas Cage movie will be different from the one before, a form of delusional thinking. Pores cannot be minimized. End of story. Formulated out of Amazonian white clay, the mask has a siltlike texture that you spread all over your face. The mask tingles and your face feels tight as it starts to dry. Ten minutes later, once you wash your face, your skin will feel supremely soft and fresh, and yes, even some of your pores may appear smaller. Although this is a fleeting effect, the softness and cleanness of your skin is a longterm beauty benefit. In honor of Earth Day, Kiehl’s is donating 100 percent of the proceeds of this mask (up to $50,000) to the nonprofit Recycle Across America.
