Quirky character actress Judy Greer went on Conan last to promote her new book, and ended up chatting about her 2011 wedding to producer Dean Johnson, which had a tasteful, subtle Planet of the Apes theme, reports E!.
“During the cocktail hour, we had the TV screens in the bar [with] the movies playing,” she told O’Brien. “We had Rise [of the Planet of the Apes] playing on one screen and then the original, obviously, Planet of the Apes playing on the bigger screen.”
Greer also gave her husband a vintage Rolex watch engraved with what might possibly be the most romantic sentiment ever: Ape shall not kill ape.
“I knew that’s how he would know that I really loved him,” she said. But it sounds like Greer, who also stars in this summer’s Planet of the Apes sequel, might have confused “wedding” with “press junket.”
