Rome-born Giambattista Valli is returning to his home country — in a manner of speaking. While he’ll continue to show his main line in his adopted city of Paris, this September he will debut a new line called Giamba at Milan Fashion Week, per British Vogue. Of the new collection, titled after his nickname, he said, “There is an underground and sexy side in me and in my designs that you will see in the Giamba line. I’ve been thinking about it for a while and waited for the right time, and now it’s matured. I am really very happy. I feel the need to dress women in general, and Giamba is a little more intimate.” Underground and sexy from the man who brought us this fluffy marvel? Sounds intriguing.
