Fashion darling Jason Wu, who before designing clothing for life-size humans, spent the early years of his artistic career making dolls, was being feted by his alma mater at the 66th annual Parsons Fashion Benefit last night. Every so often the designer dips his toe back into his former career, designing dolls for stores like Colette and Bergdorf Goodman and, most recently, Montaigne Market. So the Cut had to ask — what would be his dream doll to create? “I was going to say Cher, but there are so many already,” Wu sighed. But he quickly reached a decision: “A supermodel collection with all the big ones!” So which supers would get the Wu Barbie treatment? “Christy [Turlington] and Stephanie [Seymour] for sure!”
