Juergen Teller Is Now Working for Louis Vuitton

Bagging one top photographer to shoot your ads is enough of a coup — but three is a different story. WWD reports that Bruce Weber, Annie Leibovitz, and Juergen Teller have all been enlisted to shoot Nicolas Ghesquière’s first Louis Vuitton campaign. Leibovitz has a preexisting relationship with Vuitton, having shot the house’s Core Values campaigns, but Teller has only just started working with the company, shooting a “Dozen Girls” portfolio for Ghesquière earlier this month. (Last year, he took a portrait of the designer for his controversial System feature; perhaps this was where their friendship began?)

Teller worked with former Vuitton creative director Marc Jacobs for 15 years, shooting campaigns for his namesake label, before the two publicly parted ways on a project last year; Teller was unwilling to work with house face Miley Cyrus. (Instead, David Sims shot the moody ad.)

WWD also offered further intel on the ad images, which have yet to be released. They will star Liya Kebede, Freja Beha Erichsen, and longtime Ghesquière muse Charlotte Gainsbourg. Potential Teller beef aside, we can’t wait to see what happens when these wonder triplets’ powers activate.
