National spokesperson for the nation and for the nation’s Dads President Obama has reached a milestone every Dad faces in his Dad life: the prom of his eldest child. Obama told his true story on Live! With Kelly and Michael, except the stuff that was “classified,” ha-ha! He hoped that he wasn’t “too intimidating” to Malia’s date, but he could never be sure. After all, he says, he was a little unsettled by those spangly new high heels the girls wear: “I think it’s fair to say that the first time you see your daughter in heels is a little bit jarring.”
What a time for Mr. Obama. He’s growing up so fast. The world will soon be his oyster, and all his days will be salad days. His best years await him, stretching out into the distance like the sunshine. May he enjoy them all.
