Seen on Mother’s Day: Flowers and Quality Time
Photo: Bek Andersen
Yesterday’s weather was finally warm and sunny — which set the perfect backdrop for a Mother’s Day filled with flowers, spring brunches, and walks in the park. The Cut’s Bek Andersen hit the streets to capture the scene, stopping to talk to moms (and their kids) about what the day meant for them. From a mother-daughter pair at Frieze to multigenerational brunches and a family ice-cream outing: Click through our slideshow to see all these Mother’s Day celebrators and more.

Rachel Maskel with Husband James and daughter Kaliana What is your favorite thing about being a parent? The love, the entertainment, and [having] something to really connect with on a completely different level that you can't access any way else. Sometimes the concept of being a mom is still foreign. Babies really teach us what it's like to experience the world, what it's like to reengage with a new level of awareness.

Emma: It does work! Not fair!
Do you have any favorite Mother's Day memories? Debbie: Do you have any mom-ories at all? Hahaha! Later on we are going to see Palo Alto because Emma’s cousin went to high school with James Franco.
