Today People Will Bid on Marlene Dietrich’s Iconic Tuxedo

Today is the last day to bid on one of Marlene Dietrich’s iconic men’s tuxedos — a remnant of the German-born actress’s signature on-and-off-screen androgynous style, popularized following her scandalous performance in the 1930 film Morocco (in which she dresses in drag and kisses a woman). The suit — available for a minimum bid of $25,000 — is being auctioned off online as part of a larger estate sale by Nate D. Sanders Auctions, which also includes two pairs of Ted Lapidus sunglasses, a pewter flask, and numerous glass and crystal cigarette lighters. Bidding ends today at 5 p.m. Pacific Standard Time.
