Gay Pride Street Style: Fishnet Briefs and Feathered Wings
Yesterday, rainbow-attired individuals of all ages descended on Fifth Avenue for the annual Gay Pride Parade. This year marked the 45th anniversary of the Stonewall riots, and attendees — including Grand Marshall Laverne Cox, who showed up in a hot-pink bandage dress and was joined by some fellow Orange Is the New Black cast members — came out in exuberant style. Lower Manhattan sidewalks were packed with sequins, lace, and exposed nipples, with paradegoers sporting everything from fishnet briefs to a faux-fruit headdress. Others wore heavily feathered wings, knee socks with G-A-Y spelled out on them, and even a tank top featuring a spoof of the Coca-Cola label, reading “I Enjoy Vagina.” Click through the slideshow for these and more highlights seen at this year’s Gay Pride Parade.
