What happens when you get Frank Gehry, Karl Lagerfeld, Cindy Sherman, Rei Kawakubo, Christian Louboutin, and Marc Newson in a design studio together? It sounds like the premise for a TED Talk, but it’s very real. To celebrate its 160th anniversary, Louis Vuitton has assembled the group to work on its The Icon and the Iconoclasts project. The six luminaries will each reimagine Vuitton’s signature monogram and create a bag and/or luggage item. The results of this epic brainstorm will be available in October, and will set consumers back $2,725 to $5,450.
