In February, Sheryl Sandberg announced a new partnership with Getty Images to combat the perpetuation of stereotypes about women through bad stock photography. At a panel at the Cannes Lions advertising awards yesterday, Sandberg and Getty revealed that this is the most-downloaded image from the Lean In Collection, in the U.S. and globally. And it is kind of an accurate representation of feminism in 2014, right? For better or for worse! It’s like, I, woman of a healthy BMI, am not ashamed to love shoes! I demand the right to design them alongside my male and nonwhite peers.
