As street style gets more and more out-there every season, it gets evermore challenging to attract the attention of photographers. If you’re not Miroslava Duma or Anna Dello Russo — who regularly wear styles that haven’t even hit the runways yet — creative styling is key. The perfect street-style look features a mix of emerging designers with the must-have pieces of the season, like a dash of Ostwald Helgason accented with a giant single earring by the likes of Céline or Louis Vuitton. But before you look like you’re trying too hard, you might also want to incorporate something more low-key, like a pair of nondescript white sneakers or a piece of Zéline.

With that in mind, click ahead for dozens of ways to catch the eyes of YoungJun Koo, Tommy Ton, and the like — and remember what you see here, because nothing is more fun than counting the number of times these pieces pop up on the streets in the weeks ahead.

Only Wear Skirts With Quirky Details September’s warm weather means plenty of bare legs this week — which means a lot of people will wear especially out-there skirts. Short and polka-dotted or midi with a surreal print, they’re calling for a zoomed-in photo, especially when paired with equally as fanciful heels.

Proclaim Ear Stacks The New Arm Stacks First came the armful of bracelets and then came delicate rings piled on every finger. But with the popularity of piercings both on the lobes and through cartilage, the ear is the new place to overadorn yourself. Don’t feel like poking a ton of holes? Ear cuffs and jackets are the way to fake it.

Believe in the Fuzzier, The Better If you look at the February shows, people tend to wear a lot of fur. Granted, it was also because it was freezing, but adding texture to any outfit can’t hurt. Since it’s barely fall, expect to see it on a clutch or shoe instead of a coat.

Wear Head-To-Toe Knits Head-to-toe knits were on the runway everywhere from Marc Jacobs to Céline to Stella McCartney. In reality, maybe one percent of the population can pull of that look — but that one percent is likely to be attending Fashion Week.

Sophia Webster is bold and fun, but those painted Burberry heels were made to lure in a crowd.

But hey, someone will definitely be looking at you.

Look Like a Motocross Instagram Star Luella Bartley and Katie Hillier’s debut collection for Marc by Marc Jacobs is a budding street-style star’s dream. The bold colors and motocross-meets-anime styling were made to be shared far and wide on social media.

The wacky phone covers are ideal for pretending like you’re chatting to your driver.

Hide Behind Weird Sunglasses Be it vampire fangs, colorful frames, or reflective lenses, sunglasses are a way to make your outfit memorable. Also, science says you’ll look hotter.

Just Wear Rosie Assoulin Yet another designer who can thank street style for upping her profile, chances are friends like Leandra Medine, Miroslava Duma, and Nasiba Adilova will be snapped in an outfit or two. Pretend like you’re in that inner circle by wearing one of her dramatic pieces.

Be 1 of the Few in a Sold-Out Runway Piece The average person will have to do some exhaustive hunting to get her hands on the season’s already sold-out pieces like the LV single earring and the Prada oversize chain bag. But nothing says "I have connections" quite like owning one (or all) of them.

Tie on a Scrunchie Consider it the natural evolution of the cat-ear hat — you need something on your head to gain attention and bunny ears are close enough. Or if you prefer — a giant bow.

Pretend Like You’re Casual and Cool in Sneakers Adidas Stan Smiths were the shoe of choice last season, but you can go either flashy or obscure this time around. Joshua Sanders makes a slip-on-meets-creeper style that’s already been photographed a bunch during the men’s shows in Milan, while Veronika Heilbrunner is a fan of white Nikes with runway dresses. Or, if you’re particularly fancy, you can always opt for Céline’s take on the AF-1 silhouette.

Drape a Grunge-Inspired Jacket Over Your Outfit French designer Julien David collaborated with Korean-Japanese brand Ambush on his pre-fall collection, including this oversize menswear-inspired denim jacket. It resembles an obscure '90s-thrift-store find, but you know it will be worn casually draped over a feminine dress for contrast.

Let Your Bag Do All the Talking Nearly everyone made the same joke upon seeing 3.1 Phillip Lim’s Totes Amaze tote, so it’s not a surprise that they’ll be carrying the bag this season. But if your tastes lean toward the surreal, Yazbukey is a new favorite among the set for her whimsical designs.

Fake It With Some Zéline For the budget-conscious and those who lack the connections to borrow a different outfit every day, going the Zéline and Zalenciaga route is a smart bet. These pieces aren’t as flashy, but when styled together they could trick someone into snapping your photo.
