When Hedi Slimane took over at Saint Laurent in 2012, he made some much-publicized changes, including, of course, relocating the atelier to his adopted home of Los Angeles. Slimane has called the changes his “Reform Project” for the brand, which definitely sounds a little intense. Up next, a West Coast transformation is in the cards: Saint Laurent is opening a global flagship in L.A., The Wall Street Journal reports. (The brand has other global flagships located in Paris, London, Hong Kong, and other cities. Saint Laurent also has an existing store in Beverly Hills.) The 10,000-square-foot, three-story store will open in September on Rodeo Drive; the top floor is going to be dedicated to VIP dressing, and there will even be a special “secret” entrance for celebrity clientele who need their Sacs du Jour pronto. Angeleno transplant Slimane just won’t stop repping the West Coast, and we love it.
