Fitspiration at its worst is an excuse to smugly show off your butt in booty shorts. Fitspiration at its best inspires you to work out, have a healthy lifestyle, and be a better person all at the same time. Under Armour’s latest ad showcasing Misty Copeland, a ballerina soloist for the American Ballet Theatre, is an example of the latter. The ad starts with a slow pan of Copeland as a teenage girl’s voice reads a rejection letter from a ballet academy, listing age and body type as reasons for nonacceptance. The second half of the ad features Copeland jubilantly twirling and dancing away the rejection, while looking really, really good in an Under Armour crop top and briefs. The new ad promotes the brand’s new campaign, I Will What I Want.
