For her wedding to Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie wore a long pillar of ivory satin designed by Donatella Versace. It was smooth and plain, and like the blank surface of a kitchen refrigerator, it simply begged to be decorated by whimsical artwork from the special youths of the home. And so, Versace punctuated Jolie’s dress with embroidery reproduced from her six children’s drawings.
In addition to providing important design work for their mother’s wedding gown, the children’s duties included flower-throwing, ring-bearing, and aisle-walking. Pax, 10, reportedly baked the cake. It’s a home where everyone does chores, everyone has responsibilities, and everyone keeps a wholesome and cheery attitude about it, too.
