Between the Oscar de la Renta wedding gown and the post-nuptial Vogue spread, Amal Clooney is making a sizable imprint on the fashion world. Now the British Fashion Council has nominated her, alongside some of her stylish countrywomen, for the British Style Award. The BFC is awarding the prize to, in the words of its voting site, “an individual who most embodies the spirit of British fashion and is an international ambassador for London as a leading creative fashion capital.” The other female nominees include perennial best-dresssed-lister Kate Moss, FKA Twigs (who certainly deserves kudos for finally managing to make Google Glass look cool), and fashion’s favorite earth mother, Kate Bush. Notably missing from the list: someone whose name rhymes with Mate Kiddleton, though the form does allow write-ins.
