As we have tirelessly documented, Beyoncé wears an awful lot of Topshop. Now, the brand’s No. 1 celebrity fan is planning to launch a line of “athletic streetwear” in a joint venture with the retailer, reports WWD. She has teamed with Topshop to create a company called Parkwood Topshop Athletic, Ltd. (As Beyhive members are no doubt aware, Parkwood Entertainment is Beyoncé’s management company.) The line, which will include dance, sports, and fitness-themed clothes and accessories, won’t launch until fall 2015 at the earliest, but Topshop owner Sir Philip Green told the paper that he has been in talks with the pop star since February. “This not a collaboration,” he clarified. “This is about building a brand and building a business — a separate, proper business, with separate overhead and a separate office.” It will even be sold at retailers beyond Topshop, though those stockists have yet to be named. For her part, Beyoncé said, “I have always loved Topshop for their fashion credentials and forward thinking.” And you thought the Kate Moss launch was a mob scene.
