Lupita Nyong’o, the most beautiful woman in the world (and she of headbands and double hair-mountains), once had to shave her head because of overly damaged hair. She did it at the tender age of 19, and tells Redbook:
But it wasn’t on a whim—I spent days thinking about it first. Once I did it, it was very liberating, but I also felt very naked. When you feel the wind on your scalp, it’s like, Oh, my God. But I’ve kept my hair short ever since.
And just like that, a star haircut was born.
