Now that fashion month is over, we’ve scoured the shows and perused thousands of looks from New York, London, Milan, and Paris for common themes — fabrics and silhouettes that will be popular in magazine editorials (fringe and platforms), as well as the looks you’ll actually aspire to wear. Retro, ‘70s-esque tailoring made a comeback at labels like Louis Vuitton, as did bold floral prints (at Céline), free-lovin’ bohemia, and a shocking amount of denim. Click through the slideshow below to see the 13 top trends for next spring, and be well on your way to a better grasp of the coming season.

Summer of Love Peaceful vibes wafted through the shows, as clothing reminiscent of recent music festivals romantically took the stage. Post-mod and a softer approach to dressing, a bohemian dress is one piece we can get down with. Photo: Imaxtree

Jeans Queen We cannot recall a season with so much love for denim and all its incarnations: festooned with jewels at Dolce & Gabbana, high waisted and tailored at Louis Vuitton, and head-to-toe slouch at Fendi are some of the styles we're anticipating for next season. Military Grade A counterpart to the season's interest in free-loving bohemia, utilitarian, surplus styles in army green marched on the runways at Sacai, Marc Jacobs, and No. 21, among others. Look for a uniform of drab colors and exposed pockets next season. Photo: Imaxtree

Swing Things After last year's fringe fest, the trend is still big for next season, but in even more intricate variations: leather houndstooth unraveling into fringe at Proenza Schouler, knit skirts exploding with bottom-heavy tasseling at Céline, and perforated belting used as textural strips at Comme des Garçons. '70s Tailoring Last season was all about the mod '60s, so it was almost inevitable that the '70s were in focus this time around. Long, lean silhouettes took shape at Emilio Pucci and Giambattista Valli, while Prada and Gucci used topstiched details to evoke a modern-day jet set. Photo: Imaxtree

Picnic Blankets A big New York Fashion Week trend (seen at Altuzarra, Michael Kors), the all-American tiny classic made waves overseas at Bottega Veneta and Richard Nicoll. Expect the sweet little check to be sexed up in editorials. Photo: Imaxtree

Return of the Platform Flats may still be prevalent and less a trend than a reality these days, but the chunky platform is inching back into the limelight. Seen at Saint Laurent, Miu Miu, Calvin Klein, and Prada (including platform clog styles), the dominant single-soled pump now has some big competition. Photo: Imaxtree; Getty Images

A New Neckline Portrait necklines and similar styles with exposed shoulders were both pretty and popular at the shows (seen at Balenciaga, Simone Rocha, Delpozo, among others). The off-the-shoulder look will likely pick up even more steam due to Amal Alamuddin's most recent Oscar de la Renta stunner. Photo: Imaxtree
