How to Master Being Karl Lagerfeld’s Bodyguard

Prevent surprises, always have a hairdresser at the ready, and, most important: Stay young. These are some of the commandments that Karl Lagerfeld’s bodyguard and charter entourage-member Sebastien Jondeau recommends for doing his job. He reveals in a new video released by Lagerfeld’s eponymous brand that he applies a cream — he doesn’t specify which one, but it has to be Chanel, right? — three times daily. He also follows an intense kickboxing and boxing regimen, which has probably gotten chicer ever since Karl designed that $175K punching bag. Being the ponytailed Kaiser’s shadow is no easy task, it seems. “I never relax. I don’t do ‘relaxed,’” Jondeau says while having his face gently massaged.

The most surprising tip? Stock up on carbs. You know, for energy — “I never say no to pizza and pasta,” Jondeau admits.
