A study has confirmed the males, an easily understood subset of people, do find women in high heels more attractive.

According to research in the journal Archives of Sexual Behavior, men were more willing to help, hit on, and chase after women in sexy stilettos. Researchers at the University of Bretagne asked women to approach strangers and ask for help. For every ten people they spoke to, the women would switch shoes, going from frumpy flats to acceptable 2-inch heels and then to bangin’$2 3.5-inch heels. While the women wore heels, 83 percent of men helped them with directions, compared to 47 percent while they wore flats. When the women dropped a glove (so French), 93 percent of men chased after them to return it if the women wore heels, while only 62 percent of men bothered to for those who wore flats. While seated alone at a bar, men took 7.49 minutes to approach women in hot heels and twice as long if her feet were in commoner’s flats.

Amazingly, the study’s author, Nicolas Guéguen found that high heels increased attraction factors: “The results showed that high heels were associated with greater sexiness, overall physical attractiveness, breast attractiveness, beauty, attractiveness to other men, and willingness for a date.” High heels: also good for improving how hot your tits are. What a useful item of footwear.
