As part of her New Year’s Honours list, Queen Elizabeth has bestowed her mighty scepter on another group of ordinary citizens this year — and the BBC reports that honorees included Mary Quant and British Fashion Council head Caroline Rush. Most important, the fabulous Joan Collins got the nod. That’s right, Alexis Carrington, queen of the black sun hat, is now officially a dame, which allllmost makes her royalty, right?
