This week, Lewis Carpenter and James Wright launched the fourth issue of their arts-and-culture magazine, So It Goes — the new issue features cover stars Brit Marling and Dane DeHaan, and an interview with photographer Mario Testino.
The night kicked off with an intimate dinner at the Jamaican restaurant Miss Lily’s, which included some well-known names from the fashion and art world, such as Jenne Lombardo, Camille Rowe, Mazdack Rassi, Brianna Lance, James Biden (Vice President Joe Biden’s nephew, who is also a DJ), and Mr. Testino himself. Afterward, everyone moved from the dinner table to the dance floor, where there were reggae tunes and endless frozen Dark and Stormy cocktails.
So It Goes has been around for a little over a year now, and Wright and Carpenter say they’ve enjoyed the luxury of following their own tastes in selecting subjects. “There’s no sort of barrier between what we want to do and what we do. It very much is a representation of our taste, what we think is good, and what we want to promote or champion,” Carpenter said.
