15 Cool Ways to Wear Spring’s Fringe Trend

If you live somewhere cold, here’s the bitter reality: It’s going to be puffer-coat weather for at least two more months. But that’s no reason to get in a rut of fleece boots and turtlenecks. Instead, take a cue from the spring runways — like Céline, Proenza Schouler, and Dolce & Gabbana — and invest in a few fringe pieces to mix up your look. Here at the Cut, we combed through the best fringed and tasseled pieces out there to find 15 chic, not-at-all Coachella-y pieces to wear now — and through the rest of 2015.

Imagine these fringed hoops with a white turtleneck and a red lip.
Could this be the coziest miniskirt in the world? Yes, yes it could.
This clutch treads the fine line between professional work-drinks and rowdy tequila shots.
A chic little backpack made even better by a pair of tassels.
This necklace would look spot-on over anything from a turtleneck to an off-the-shoulder top.
This miniskirt thinks it is masquerading as a serious business skirt, but we all know what it's up to.
J.Crew's version of the classic silk tuxedo scarf will make any look just a little more fun.
This is what we like to call the DFF: Dance-Floor Fringe.
This delicate ivory scarf will instantly make a dressy outfit a little more relaxed.
Throw a big chunky sweater over this black fringe dress for a casual dinner — or wear it by itself to your next work event.
This scarf will keep you warm but — with its cotton-ball edges — vaguely remind you of a flowing summer caftan.
Chloé demonstrates the chic, boss-lady way to wear fringe to the office.
You don't have to be lounging braless in Marrakech to look cool in a tassel necklace.
No need for a silk scarf — Altuzarra's handy tailored black blazer comes with one included.
These Alaïa suede fringe sandals will help you step your game up — and would look even better with glossy, bright toe-nail polish.
