You can always count on couture to have the wildest hairpieces, dresses that are too wide for the runway — and, of course, the most over-the-top accessories. This season couture technically started in London when John Galliano made his debut for Maison Margiela with a collection that had all of the drama you’d expect, including statement headpieces.

Then it was on to Paris, where, over the span of the last three days, designers showcased everything from python neck braces at Alexandre Vauthier to thigh-high latex boots at Christian Dior to fancy veiled berets at Chanel. Click ahead to see all of these and more wild accessories from couture, just in case you’re in need of some inspiration for a new lewk.
